Want to get involved? Mamre Community Services Department is actively involved in helping residents of East Flatbush community, by assisting them through the distributing of food, clothing, and manual labor, as the need arises. In addition, a large number of care packages are handed out each year to the needy in our community, during the church's annual health fair.
The Community Services Department also recently assisted Haiti and St Lucia, countries that were recently struck with disasters; (we are our brothers' keeper). Hundreds of pieces of clothing and several barrels of food were shipped to those countries.
Officially, Food Pantry distribution days are: the first (1st) and third (3rd) Sunday of the month; and every third (3rd) Wednesday of the month from 11am to 2 pm. An abundant supply of bread, perishable foods and boxed and canned items, are distributed to our members and the East Flatbush Community. Hot meals are served each Sabbath.
The chief goal of the Community Services Department, is, attending to the physical needs of the community. Our mission is to witness and spread the good news of salvation. We must demonstrate compassion for others as Jesus did when He was on earth, and use these opportunities to offer God’s love.
We invite you to share in the mission and goal of this friendly and caring community church in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York. Donations are welcome.
